For several years Animal Hospital of Boone has been providing extensive medical care for WHS animals in need, AND provides spay/neuter opportunities to the public through the WHS SNIPS program...

With concerns rising around COVID-19, we have been carefully evaluating our next steps...

SNIPS (Spay Neuter is a Positive Solution) had a very busy and productive 2019. 667 spay and neuter surgeries were funded in Watauga and Ashe Counties.

These surgeries were made possible...

Watauga Humane Society, along with chili from Bistro Roca, beat out all other chilis at this year's Winterfest Rotary Chili Challenge. Monetary "votes" in the amount of $904.00 and a $100.00...

2019 was a great year for Watauga Humane Society. A total of 1300 Animals were adopted and 378  pets were returned to their owners.
